12:05 pm - Um, whoops.
So I was just sitting at home, relaxing after a brain damaging day at work when all of a sudden I thought "There's something I've been meaning to do ... what was it?"
My profile happily told me I hadn't updated my journal for over six months. Ouch.
Long story short - not dead.
Long story not quite as short - took a break because I was stuck with my writing which mostly just made me irritable. Promptly forgot to unbreak. (For all of you who have had me wander off mid-IM session and totally forget about it ... kinda like that but on a larger scale.)
Sorry about that. Am now trying to wade through individual journals (cause yeah ... no chance in hell am i doing a flist read of six months) in a desperate attempt to reconnect.
So far only semi-browsed three, but have vaguely caught on to something that's making me grin like an idiot. Way to go guys. And it sucks that it's a slow, painful process, but it'll be worth it, I'm so happy for you.
And thanks to the couple of people who sent me a nudge, that did jog my memory a little, but we all know how dumass I can really be and by the next day (where said nudges were archived at my gmail) it was out of my head again.
Not much has happened with me personally, started writing again, which is good/bad ... got some work which SUCKS but yay!money. Work for the dole finished thankfully, though I still volunteer there on Saturdays mostly because it gets me out of the house and away from my mother and also (possibly mostly) cause there's a Baskin Robbins 1 block away. And a KFC. And A Red Rooster. And a BWS. And a Subway. And a McDonald's but I hate their burgers. And yeah, it's a block away from second highway in our tiny town ... so lots of sinful food. (Still, mostly the baskin robbins though ... me and honeycomb thickshake with caramel ribbon, fuck yeah).
If there is anything you'd like me to read and catch up on, leave a link and I guarantee a comment when I read it. Yes, me ... commenting ... that's how dedicated I am to right this wrong. So tell me your tales, repeat me your rants, spin me your ... er ... sporffles (is that still a word? These things change so quickly).
Hopefully I won't miss the next six months while catching up on the last six months.

What follows is a true and faithful account of my MSN convo with
berrynia and
abremaline. Except for the secondary convo we were running about
abremaline leaving and what not. I edited that stuff out. Oh, and I fixed my horrendous typos. Well, some of them.
( Wow, it didn't seem that long in MSN )
Well, aside from how I seem like a whining bitch and all my RL friends only appear to be 'Yes men', what do you think?

01:18 am - Hi, remember me? No? ... fair enough actually.
Still not dead yet. Stuck back at work for dole. (I get placed somewhere I have to work or I don't get my unemployed payments from government) ... Now I get on okay with the ppl I have to work with. The ones under the age of 26 are work for dolers ... the ones over the age of 64 are women who are members of the church that runs the charity, second-hand clothes shop I got put in. There is no-one between the ages of 26 and 64. The youngies (and I think I'm the oldest) basically talk about music and movies and other safe topics like that. The oldies, however seem to like to talk about things that will cause conflict and/or unease and basically do annoying things.
( Things I would like to explain (and occasionally have) to the oldies. Don't click if you think the world is a nice and happy place. )
Well ... it's been a fun week. And now to try and catch up on my flist ... erg.

08:20 pm - Poll: We are so mental.
So, tag (
angelgazing) and I were talking on AIM about Brokeback. Which led to possible academy awards chat. Then there was a lot of discussing of previous awards won by ppl and whether or not we agreed.
this went for quite some time and I'll just get to the point now. I pointed out Geoffrey Rush won one once for doing a pretty good job in Shine. So I looked that year up on the AA wikipage and saw that he won over a few ppl including Ralph Fiennes (for his thingy in the english patient).
Which naturally led me to what I'm about to do now ...
( POLL! ... keep scrolling. )

10:11 pm - FIC: Eight Sticks
Disclaimer: Rowling = rich, successful, published author. Me = poor, glum, struggling student. Yes, I can see how you’d get us confused.
OVERALL SUMMARY!: After every single student failed 7th year the first time round, yeah, even Hermione ... they're back ... they're legal (even over here) and I’m making good use of that ... This will only be mentioned once, and I apologise completely for my country's laws ... and Steve Erwin. Paul Hogan. Yahoo Serious. Hula Hoops. Neighbours. Kylie Minogue. Danni Minogue. Damn, my country really screws up a lot.
Status: Complete
Series: 6/13
Rating: R/NC-17
Pairing: Haraco
Warnings: I don't normally write this, so sorry if it feels off.
Summary: Be careful what you wish for ... actually, don't.
Series was started before Halfblood came out. Which means it's now AU cause I'm not rewriting to try to fit canon.
Notes: Warning, I wrote this while I was sober. This could possibly be worse than what happened last time, I haven't worked it out yet.
